Looking back - 2009-2010

Last season didn’t follow the script exactly but I do know that our hockey is continuing to improve, throughout the club, at all levels.

The Ladies 1’s consolidated their place in South League 3A after a ‘slow’ start – 3rd place was achieved after a more driven and focused second half of the season.

The 2’s also achieved 3rd place in Trysports League Prem 2 and the 3’s ‘pulled it together’ to hold onto their place in Trysports Division 1. Well done.

The 4’s and the Vets, following promotion the previous year, found the higher leagues more demanding so could not build on the previous season’s success.

And so, to the 2010/11 season…

We have been fortunate to regain the services of Mark Scarth for a 4th season. His commitment and enthusiasm to Sonning Ladies has been second to none.

Along with his committed team of coaches we are hoping that this season, we will ALL reap the rewards that are on offer.

As players we must continue to support the coaching team. We can do this by being regularly available for training and games, communicate in a timely manner with our captains and ensure we bring our enthusiasm for this much loved sport to every session and game.

Sonning HC is a great place to be.
